Server Availability Monitoring
This service utilizes a TCP connection agent and provides E-Mail notification upon any connection failure. The TCP
connection agent can be configured, via the control panel, to make a TCP connection to any valid TCP port number on the
specified server. If the connection fails, an alert is generated based on your notification policies.
Advanced Server Availability Monitoring
This service includes all the features in Server Availability Monitoring plus HTTP, SMTP, POP3, IMAP4, FTP, TELNET,
DNS monitoring agents, daily E-Mail status reports, E-Mail and SMS notification. These agents, similar to the TCP connection
agent, will make a TCP connection to well-known ports, and negotiate a dialog according to the various protocols. For example,
in the case of the HTTP agent, a connection is made to port 80 (or any port specified in the agent configuration), and an
HTTP conversation takes place between your web server and our agent. If the exchange fails the specified tests, an
alert is generated and you are notified based on your notification policies.
Performance Monitoring
This service includes all the features in Advanced Server Availability Monitoring plus SQL server and custom script monitoring and all the same reporting as in our Availbility Monitoring service levels.
